Hi I'm back again . Hope you dnt mind me popping on n off, it's just like this page is a kind of therapy , where I can say how I feel . Quick question , u know when people feel they are born in the wrong body and get hormone blockers, can't the same work for pcos? To hear that I have basically too much testosterone for a girl sends shivers down my spine . Even hrt? Don't these things work ? Even though I have had pcos of many years, I never got any real ,( probley jus the pill at one point )treatment and suffers in silence thinking I was a freak

But that is what the combined pill does - it balances out our hormones.

For me it did the opposite , I broke out in acne and had bad mood swings and gained a lot of weight. I was I would most likely not have conceive naturally. But after a few years I put in some hard exercise and went on a juice fast . And just when I hit my ideal goal , found out I was pregnant at 25 with my first child. I have 3 in total . Taking folic acid was a key part for me. But the hair just never slowed down.

I was thinking the same thing. It's a shame there isn't an actual cure for pcos to eliminate the excess hormones for good instead of using the pill to control it. As soon as you get off the pill you go back to square one, which is why I still haven't tried it :(

I was on yasmin - loads to choose from though so if something doesn't suit, try something else. For me the small risk of being on the combined pill is worth it to be a relatively 'normal' woman, less moods, less hair, less fat lol

Thanks Hun. I'm thinking of giving it a go. Nothing to lose really 😊.

I would have gone mad by now if I hadn't, life is too short to be short, fat and hairy in my opinion, so Im just short, plump and lasered now lol

in reply toHols969

Well I'm tall, fat and hairy so the worst combo 😂😂😂🙈, so I'm on my weight loss mission today , will still b tall and hopefully only temporarily hairy . #pcosgoals

I do the 5:2 diet, its all about mind over matter, I don't go OTT on the other 5 days but it costs nothing and is quite easy once you get your mind around it.
