Hi, I'm nicole. Was diagnosed in September, started metformin two days ago. Feel sickly with it but sure it will pass. Trying rack my brains around diets . Just thought I'd say hi x

Stick to low GI as it may help, metformin doesn't suit everyone so don't stay on it if you don't feel well as there is a question mark as to how good it is for pcos ladies unless they are insulin resistant - were you tested for IR ? There is a slow release version as well which may help with the stomach issues.

I've only had it twice so going give it time to settle. I am on a slow intake

Week 1:- every other evening

Wee 2:- every evening

Week 3:- every other morning and every evening

Week 4 :- every morning/evernin

So hopefully it will settle ok x

Slow intake should help hopefully, for some there are no improvements at all though so don't stick on too long if the side effects are too bad.
