Hi everyone, I was just wondering if anyone could give me a bit of advise on PCO morphology? They have tested for the Syndrome and I do not have this but post Larapaoscoy they found cysts on the right ovary and said that I have PCO Morphology. Haven't really had a great explanation as to what it is? Anyone know?
Thanks,
Jo

Hi, I think by "PCOS morphology", they mean having more than 10 follicles in your ovaries (which is classed as poly-cystic ovaries) and/or having enlarged ovaries as a result of having to accommodate for more follicles than usual. However, if I were you, I'd ring them back to clarify what they mean with "PCOS morphology".
To get a diagnosis of PCOS, you need to present other symptoms as well such as irregular periods, severe acne, facial hair and hirsutism (loss of hair in the scalp), as well as showing hormonal or glucose levels imbalance. Maybe you could try having blood tests done to check your glucose and hormonal levels and you could also discuss any other symptoms you may have with your GP.
