I got my letter yesterday. Booked for ovarian drilling end of March. I need some advice, Recently I am getting on and off periods. One month no period next Month light bleeding.
In March my period would be the same time as my operation, don't know if I will have one or miss it. Can they still do the drilling if I do have a period

Please don't worry, you being on your period wont make any difference to them when it comes to your operation. I have had ovarian drilling twice- at the same time as them removing endomitriosis and I was on my period the second time.
It is supposed to help stimulate your ovaries for 6-9 months so fingers crossed.
I would suggest you get some peppermint tea or some windeaz/deflatine tablets because the most pain you will probably get afterwards is from the gas they pumped into you to inflate your tummy.
I hope everything goes well for you, if i can help you with anything else just ask
Excellent advice from Victoria, if its any help I had ovarian drilling 15 years ago, I have pcos and endometriosis, my children are now 12 and 8, did the whole route, had IUI which didn't work and was on the list for IVF when I got pregnant naturally while on a break from treatment over christmas 2002, Scott was born Sept 2003 then Emma came along by surprise in 2007 (I was nearly 40 :s lol). Good Luck and try not to worry, stress doesn't help, relax and enjoy yourself xx
