92,000 livestock caught in Suez Canal logjam.

Hi everyone,

Ive been watching the efforts to free the cargo ship Ever Given in the Suez Canal and was really interested that the Egyptian govt had sent supplies to some ships and then I realised why, so at least they've been given food and water but I think the outcome of this could bring another wave of awareness of global markets and animal welfare with 92,000 livestock waiting days unforeseen and unfortunate or not.

Here's an article in the Guardian a couple of days ago so at least we know they've been given care and attention and can at least travel on.

That's awful Jerry 😔😓

I just couldn't read anymore when I got to the piece talking about there have already been a lot of livestock slaughtered already this year at sea. Those poor animals😪

Thanks for highlighting it Jerry. It is a cruel industry, and these situations are just horrendous. It's shocking reading.

Thank you Jerry, it is good to spread awareness. I am afraid I just can't read such material. I admire everyone who can

I know it sounds really stupid but I had no idea of that situation at all, and in fact stupidly wasn't really aware of livestock being moved around by ship in general. It doesn't make pleasant reading, and is thought provoking.
