Kale and orange cake

My son took me out for a coffee and a cake this afternoon as he took some time off work.😁

The vegan cake today was kale and orange. My goodness it was absolutely gorgeous. It was a bit Kermit green but I thought I’d try it anyway and I wasn’t disappointed.

I’ve just looked on line to see if I could find the recipe and hey presto here it is. Don’t be put off by the green colour it was one of the nicest cakes I’ve ever had. 😋

Haha 😂 You would have loved it 😋 it didn’t look great seeing as it was green but as they say you should never judge a book by its cover 😁🌱

Hey this is green Ali but the texture looks light and fluffy and it’s healthy, it shows how we have pre conceived ideas of food, so well done for trying it. 😊

Hi Jerry, yes I’m glad I tried it. Although it would have had sugar in but like you say, a little of what you fancy does you good. Me and phil shared it, if we had known how nice it was going to be I think each of us would have told the other to “get your own”! I like having a cake out as if you make one yourself it’s a lot of cake between the two of us. 👍
