Hi everyone as theres been vegan burgers in the press I thought that I'd make some, they're more like a patty being made with grated sweet potato but who cares. LOL.
The burger I made with sliced chestnut mushrooms, onion, yellow sweet pepper, which I gently cooked in olive oil with grated coconut butter then and then added grated sweet potato chia seeds sesame seeds, pumpkin seeds with cumin, coriander, turmeric and ginger. Then I added some water with plain gf flour and mixed thoroughly.
I use Chia seeds a lot as they are really good at helping to thicken and bind foods as they absorb 10x their volume of water, they are also great at thickening stewed fruit like apple and rhubarb. Plus they are super healthy and pack a great nutritional punch...
I had one with a salad and roast potatoes as I baked the burgers...π
