Dear John,

I have been a member of HealthUnlocked PMR and Vasculitis almost since I was diagnosed, first with Vasculitis, and later with PMR in 2016 although the "new" website has me as joining in 2019 which is not accurate.

.

I found it a welcoming place and comforting place. However, there are 2 moderators in the PMR community, who are ,as a lawyer, and before that, a psychiatric nurse, I can say with reasonable certainty are mentally unstable to be moderators.

I will no longer participate in HealthUnlocked in any community where one of both has had me blocked, and the other has posted a defamatory comment about me for no reason whatsoever in the public forum which is actionable. I would not waste my time . Instead of a support group, it has at least 2 attackers.

In my opinion, as a retired nurse-attorney, ( and public advocate for the mentally ill, won an American Jurisprudence Award )none of which I ever revealed, it feels like an attack group, not a support group. I received a lot of complimentary comments from 2 other moderators, and other members recently, and I think that triggered considerable jealousy on the part of 2 very insecure people.

I will not name them, unless you ask for user names, but since I do not need additional stress with my disease, I am no longer going to participate in HealthUnlocked. In concept, it is a lovely idea, but, as it turns out, it has become a source of stress and unpleasantness. Most members are very supportive and kind, but these 2 are the opposite and wear their moderator hats as crowns.

I will say no more unless you ask for further details. I did contact Candy, but it being the weekend, have had no response which I completely understand. She need not respond at this point. There have been a couple of members who contacted me in the private email section in support and have spoken , in what I hope is really private , calling them names I would not use.

Thank you for reading; I thought you should know. I am in the US and don't know anyone personally. Goodnight.
