Evushield debated in the Commons

Hi Everybody, I just happened to turn the news on at lunchtime yesterday and during the discussion (bun fight) regarding the PMs non compliance with Covid Rules debate a Tory MP asked the PM “Now that Evushield has been authorised by the MHRA in March can the Government get on with making it available so the severely immune suppressed can enjoy their summer” ? . All we go was “we need to follow the data” with a shot of the Health Secretary looking on and rolling his eyes like a little snake. What are they doing? Does anyone know. The US and EU are using it. Just more convinced the don’t care about us. Nick

But the only info I can find (from NHS Wales dated April) is that is was not available in the UK at that time.

There’s plenty of data it works against omicron if you double the dose. They’re just holding out in the hope another worse variant comes along that it doesn’t work on so they can say “aha, see, we were right to not procure it”. They really really do not care about us. I was hoping I could get Evusheld for the summer ahead of flu season as I’d be more careful around winter time anyway but thought if I could get Evusheld in the summer I could be pretty normal.

Sue Gray’s report has made it abundantly clear to me that they could not care less. They absolutely disgust me. I just hope that even if our government don’t care scientists do care and they’re still working on a sterilising immunity vaccine so I could at least be around vaccinated people.

Not even to purchase privately. Not sure why it’s not available or the thinking behind it . Not difficult to determine who has no antibodies and give Evushield should make such a difference to peoples lives and their families.
