I have had RLS for many years mainly affecting my legs but can involve my arms as well. I have had periods when it has gone but its now back with a vengance affecting my sleep , does anyone else suffer from this and could my meds be making it worse? I currently take MTX 25mg and Plaquenil 400mg daily.

Restless leg syndrome??
I also have RLS, but it comes and goes. I find a glass of tonic water helps. Something to do with the quinine. It won't do you want harm, but don't have too much because it makes your ears ring.
I also suffer from RLS and in my arms, plus terrible cramps, which are always worse at night and prevent me from getting a goods night sleep, this has got worse since being diagnosed with WG some 10 years ago, as yet haven't found anything that helps.
John has RLS and cramps but they come and go. John also has a fairly hard pillow to rest his legs on at night. This also helps with reducing the swelling of legs and ankles especially in very warm weather
I went to the dr with restless legs and he has given me quinine tablets. Have only taken 3 as like other symptoms tend to come and go May be worth a trio to GP as not contraindecated for wg
I too suffer from restless legs but my renal consultant commenced me on Clonazepam 500mcg to be taken at night. I had immediate relief and a good nights sleep. Hope you get some relief soon.

Thank you for your answers. I asked because I have found several references to RLS and autoimmune disorders so wondered if there was a connection, I am seeing my consultant in a few weeks and was a little reluctant to say anything in case it was not connected but am finding it hard to get a nights sleep. I take Plaquenil which is a quinine compound so don't think taking more in the form of tonic water would help.
