Covid again - watch this space!- Update

Hi all, remember my post above from last week well I said I would update Monday after the test. You guessed it…. I fell really ill. I went out for a walk Monday morning and wasn’t feeling that bad but Monday afternoon it started taking hold of me, just feeling really poorly (what do I mean by poorly?) well apart from my head feeling like it was going to explode it was like a combination of having the worst ever hangover from hell while being on the worst most frightening fun park ride that I couldn’t get off. So as the night progressed my temperature was still within range and oxygen levels ok but was worried thinking “how worse can this get”

I was up to bed by 10pm but by 11.15 was going downstairs as felt claustrophobic, hot, ill ect. Just laid on my back until 2am thinking I am due my paracetamol as it’s all I’ve got. Had some water and hoorah! Fell asleep (with horrible dreams) woke at 4am and thought “not too bad now” so Tuesday about 10% better, contacted NHS (System Works) who said it looks like Rebound Covid but still no antivirals, talk to GP if you get worse. Yesterday about another 30% better and this morning about the same. It’s been blooming horrible.

Havnt taken a test yet. That comes tomorrow but the strange thing all this time my wife is still negative. Will update you after 3 negative tests. Nick.

hi Nick so sorry you are going through it, those symptoms sound horrible and scary.

Covid is certainly an odd virus and it seems everyone gets slightly different symptoms.

Was there any reason you couldn’t get antivirals this time ? Seem to be giving them out at the Olympics with no problems!!

Hope you start to feel better very soon and fingers crossed your wife stays negative.

Hi Main1234, I couldn’t have Antivirals because I had been experiencing symptoms for 6 days before they contacted me and the rebound event is classed as the same event. Scary really scary I am hoping and praying that’s it but you never know, every time I feel something in my throat or cough I think “here we go again”! So we will see.
