persistent raised neutrophils

Every time I have I have a blood test - about every 2 weeks currently - it's reported on as having raised neutrophils. The kidney function has returned to almost normal. CRP is within normal limits (but it always has been).

I feel very fatigued with a lot of both PMR and joint pains. I'm finding it difficult to keep active, which is very frustrating and removes my main distraction technique.

No-one seems interested in why the neutrophils are raised. But there must be something?

Any ideas?

You are on pred, It tends to increase white blood cells, mainly by increasing neutrophils.

I thought Pred suppressed the immune system rather than boosted it

It can. But it can also shift the balance of the white cells and do all sorts of things with neutrophils
