Public Health Scotland today announced that the Winter Vaccines for the highest risk people are being brought forward from the originally planned October start. This affects people in care homes, over 75, and immunosuppressed people. Those concerned will be contacted re appointments. Though - and speaking just personally here - it's likely that your appointment will show up sooner on the official Scottish appointments website before you are contacted. Do not currently try to book an appointment if you are in this group. Wait to be contacted. publichealthscotland.scot/n...
Note: this is related to similar actions in England, though in Scotland there were always going to be vaccines running from early September. But not for the immunosuppressed, who were originally intended to be vaccinated starting in October. But that plan has now changed, if practically possible.
