Recently posted on the CP, as I thought I had been exposed. See previous post
I dodged the bullet didnt get its, as grand daughter didnt get it
Have asked the GP to check for Anti bodies, just rang and been told I'm positive, so great but is there a sliding scale of positivity..hope that made sense.
Cant get to talk to a GP unless I ring tomorrow, and had to ring to get results, I think this way will be quicker and more informative and accurate
Completely lost confidence in GP Surgery, told them I had been exposed to CP was immune suppressed and they told me to ring back the next day !!
Thanks in advance

Yes, you can be strongly positive or less so with anything, But whether that makes a lot of difference to you getting it or not isn't clear with most things.
To be fair - being exposed doesn't mean you are at risk NOW - the incubation period is 10 days plus so one day won't make a lot of difference. It would have done if you were already showing symptoms in which case you would need antivirals within the following 24-48 hours.
Hi Bailey59 I am not a Doctor but as I understand it and shout me down. Viruses when contracted can be received in different doses depending on the “Viral Load” to multiply they need a “host” that being your white blood cells. I guess you have had your jabs as a kid which will still give you a certain amount of immunity for life. CP can be present in adults a lot of the time but lies dormant (Shingles) it may be that is what you are experiencing. If you are immune suppressed then you probably have less overt unity for “hosts” to be infected. There is a lot of confusion about Antivirals though, most people who catch Covid who are Immune Suppressed who test positive are given Monoclonal Antibody treatment if they are detected within 3-5 days with no or little symptoms. Anti virals are given when they are usually in hospital or have more severe symptoms. I asked this when I had treatment. Anything ending in “ab” is MA and anything ending in “vir” is antiviral. I had Sotrovimab. I know it must be worrying I have been one of life’s worst worriers but another day will be fine and remember CP and immune suppression have both been around a long time. Hope all goes well. Nick
I had similar was told as I had it as a child would be highly unlikely to get it again. I had been exposed to it as my grand daughter had it & I had been with her. Was not given a blood test & GP didn’t seem concerned at all although I was panicking. Lucky enough I did not get it but as you said you do start to lose faith with your GP they just don’t seem concerned at times.
