Hi Golf 0892. I had terrible itching last year although mine was down to the Rituximab rather than the Vasculitis anyway I bought E45 Itch Relief 500g x 2 Pump pots from Amazon about £30 and also Aveno Dermexa body wash £10, it’s sounds expensive but it worked for me, it does take a few days to get into your skin though. I pot of E45 lasts about 2 months and the Body Wash about 6 weeks.

A hot shower has been clinically proven to stop itch in the short run. About an hour after the shower.

I also use Aveeno products. Both bath soap and lotion. Applying the lotion several times a day helps a lot. There is a product called Cortizone 10 which helps but is expensive. It is bought over the counter. The most difficult thing is not to itch. The more you itch the worse it seems to get. I put a lot of credence in mind over matter. Fill your mind with something you must concentrate on, like a chess game, so the itch falls in the background. I also use this method for pain control when pain medication doesn't quite cover the job. I know itching can totally take over your every action. The power is yours. If all of the above does not work, there are steroids for really serious cases of itching.

Good luck, Investigator 1. It's a lifetime battle.

I use fexofenadine hydrochloride prescribed by consultant. I also use Aveno spray for after a shower . If it’s very bad l also use deep freeze gel and ice packs .

I try not to scratch, pace the floor and hope it will pass eventually. However to be fair since my various treatments for vasculitis l have improved enormously.

Honestly I have tried tonnes of stuff and its all short term. Tea tree cream if you can bear the smell is the best stuff by far..stops the crazy itching immediately and for long enough to get to sleep. Aveeno products next best. E45 anti itch completely useless for me and probably the most expensive product.

If you want to go completely natural, try organic aloe vera gel. It doesn't get rid of it but it does help. I used to use hot shower but difficult with this hot weather clearly. Have you also cut out sugar and alcohol? And most importantly no stress!
