PCR test

I never received the letter or email regarding the PCR test. I called 119 who said they could not send the special PCR test as I hadn’t received the letter. They suggest I called gp which I did & practice manager was supposed to call me back next day. No call. The thing that worries me is why am I being missed off things. I never received the shielding letter & I had to chase all of my vaccines myself. I called consultants secretary who checked with my consultant about the anti viral drugs if I were to catch Covid & he advised just to call them & they would administer them. Why do I feel with every situation that we have I have to spend hours on the phone sorting things myself. Does anyone know why I wouldn’t have received the letter I am high risk at the gp surgery. I am on Rituximab & pred.

You should be eligible for the PCR home test kit. Information is in this link:

Why your GP didn't include you in the shielding list is a good question as both your medications indicate that you should be. If I were you I would email the GP including the above link. Save the sent email as proof of the communication.

Thank you I have just sent them an email. I think i need to be changing my doctor they do not take my condition seriously at all.
