I am AMA positive, pbc diagnosis. Chronic sinusitis and autoimmunehypothyroidism. Recent arthralgia and myalgia and raised crp, esr, and platelets for last 4 months. Rheumatologist feels it may be lupus, wegeners or sirgons.
ANA , ANCA negative. On vimovo then arcoxia. They helped for a short time.
Today I'm started on plaquenil. Does this sound like anyone else's symptoms and treatment. Are the side effects to plaquenil severe.
Thank you.

You can check out the symptoms for GPA (wengers) on the vasculitis U.K. website. Sinusitis is one of the symptoms but you will need a biopsy to confirm diagnosis. ANCA negative doesn’t rule out ANCA vasculitis. Everyone is different with the side effects to plaquinil. I had it before I got a diagnosis with no problems. Do make sure you get your eyes tested though. I know you are at a horrible stage but you will have to wait for the doctors to give you a diagnosis. If you are not at a specialist centre you could ask for a referral to one to rule it in or out. Addenbrookes deals with both vasculitis and lupus. Good luck let us know how you get on.
Hi.Thanks very much for the reply. I had a biopsy 1 month ago of sinusitis, I'm waiting for the result. I'm seeing a rheumatologist so I'm not sure who else to see.
A rheumatologist should be able to help you but some are better than others. Have you chased up the results of your biopsy? You could ring the consultant’s secretary.
