The COVID-19 pandemic has quickly infected more than a million people. While most people with COVID-19 infections have mild or no symptoms, a significant proportion of patients can become quite ill. At this time, little is known about how patients with rheumatic diseases, many of whom use medications and drugs that suppress the immune system, are affected by the virus.
What can you do to help? The COVID-19 Global Rheumatology Alliance is calling on people 18 years of age and older with rheumatic diseases, and parents of children with #rheumatic diseases to participate in a survey so that we may learn how best to prevent or treat COVID-19 in this potentially vulnerable population. Patients with rheumatic diseases with or without COVID-19 infection are eligible to participate. All information collected in the survey is completely anonymous and protected.
