Eat to live. Not live to eat.

As simple as that. It's funny I preached on drinking water and lots of it. Simply to rid your body of all the crud you have put in it. So my advice to everyone on here who is and was like me who relied on doctors and meds. Simply eat a plant based diet. Lol harder than it sounds I know. But if you do it than you will see the benefits. And they out weigh the cons. Trust me. I'm enjoying the energy and mental clarity and pain is almost not even there. If you try it let me know. I'm amazed and I'm on day 2. Lmao. I just won the lottery. I'm on cloud nine. I wish others would do this to prove to the world that this is where to start when it comes to dis-ease. has a doctor ever asked you what your diet consists of.???? The 12 or some odd specialists I seen blamed my job or smoking. I'm a smoker still... soon not to be. I hope. But a vegan for now. And no doc ever said to eat healthy?????

Food is medicine.

Eat to live.

That is good to hear. I'm pleased that you've noticed such an amazing improvement in just 2 days though, but a bit surprised too! Just wondering, were you vegetarian before you stopped eating dairy produce and how hard or easy was the change? Well done - happy for you. 😊

Greg,

Whilst I am pleased to hear that you feel well there is absolutely no evidence that diet is an effective treatment for Vasculitis. There is evidence to say that a healthy balanced diet benefits everyone!

I would be aware of the placebo affect.

I am not trying to rain on your parade as it were but we strive to make the information on here as evidence based as possible. I would hate for anyone to stop taking their medication and put themselves at risk due to anything that's posted here.

There is however evidence that Vasculitis and smoking are a toxic combination so I wish you luck and will power to stop.

I agree with Lynn, no one should stop taking there medication without very sound reasons and support from their consultant. A balanced diet is the key, a vegan diet cannot sustain a healthy existence without using supplements. Smoking is bad for everything including vasculitis and there is plenty of evidence to prove this.

I do know a guy with vasculitis who also tried the vegan diet, but became very poorly indeed. He had also been a vegetarian before diagnosis of vasculitis.

I agree. Do not stop meds. Never said that. All I'm saying is try it. Wtf. Everyone is brainwashed to sit down shut up and carry on with our diseased lives. But did you stop to think what you are putting in your body aside from meds of course. Just try it. I did. And I'm laughing. If it's not for you then go back to eating whatever it was but I'm telling you. My whole life diet was never brought up. I'm fit in shape but have a disease. Time to take control. I can't live suffering like I was. And I feel great. Never In my life have I felt this good. All I'm saying is it has helped me ten fold. I just wanted to share my positive outlook. Sorry for making people upset. Was never the intention.

Presumably, you have to assume that your kidneys are not doing the job they were designed for?

With me in my case it's just cutaneous. But odds are the way I've lived I will or would've been screwed and rely on meds for my organs to work the way they should. What u eat determines the functions of your body. Try it and see. It's amazing. What's wrong with plants. Look at elephants and rhinos and dinosaurs. The strongest and biggest animals don't eat other animals lol even gorillas which is where we evolved from lol

I have a mostly plant based diet although I am sick. So many reasons our bodies fail us. Still I firmly believe in the ability of plants to give us excellent proteins without the need for animal protein. Our world needs a lot less meat and fish eaters to keep the balance of nature and just eating it less is a way to make room in your body for great building blocks of plant enzymes and phytonutrients.

Mostly is not good enough. I've found it really hard but my wife is huge support. Baking me all kinds of goodies. Instead of eggs and flour I use apple sauce. And almond milk is my new drink. I and my wife have never felt this much energy and clarity. It's really nice. I'm noticing my skin is getting softer. And my bladder is also benefiting from it. I don't pee half as much. I was over working it the way I was living and eating before. My wife just had a steak for dinner and I don't even flinch. I'm turned off of meat right now. I'm on a plant high. I hope others try and let us know. Exercise is key as well. And water water water. So far is helping me maybe might help others

See you on the flip side.

Hi Greg,

On healthunlocked there is a Vegan community. Don't forget to put your thoughts about being vegan on there. It would be good to hear how things are for you going forward.
