So after seeing another hemotologists.He has suggested this test.not sure what the cytogenetics bit means.Last hemotologist said about a full body ct scan.These tests are different,any information on what cytogenetics test is would be helpful.The bone marrow biopsy is where they draw out marrow from my pelvic bone I think.

If you scroll down to techniques it tells you what sort of things they do in cytogenetics.
Basically though they use the BMB to obtain cells which they then send to the laboratory for various appropriate assays to be carried out which can take some time as they may have to grow more cells before they can do the other stuff.
