Many types of Vasculitis can cause unexplained bruising. Are you receiving any treatment at all?

Are you on steroids? They cause bruising

Hi, yes I also get yellow bruises over my legs and a few on my arms, but no doctor seems to be bothered by them. One Doctor said if they are not on my stomach etc, then they are not a problem. I am currently having tests for behcets, but the wait is taking forever and I have been feeling ill for 2 years. I keep getting told to take up yoga and go for walks!!!

I haven't seen a neurologist yet, so I will keep you posted.

I wish you luck with finding your answers and hope you get the help you need.

Take care

Suzy

Good morning.I have been treated for blood pressure for over 20 years.I am on clopidogrel amlodopine and recently due to tia was put on statons 3 years ago September 2013.Due to recent investigations ent have put me on Dymista which is a nasal steroid,I have only been using for about a month.Due to go back in a few weeks for a endoscopy, which they tried to do last time.As on my mri head scans it showed a huge amount of mucus. I feel like I'm going through a forever mot at the moment.LP coming up also, depending on that test.I may need a angiogram then a brain biopsy. So a very anxious time, but I do believe knowledge is power. So this is why I go on these forums. Thank you for all your reply.

Hi Jan85uk,

I get tiny bruises all over my body too. I have had them biopsies to return a "non-specific inflammation", which none of my dr's seem concerned about either. I have been sick for 8 years and have again just recently been taken back to an earlier diagnoses of Undifferentiated Connected Tissue disease and have lymphocytic vasculitis. It's a long and lonely road sometimes. I too have been told to do meditation/yoga, which at times has been frustrating as I do mostly adhere to a very healthy diet and try to keep my mental health positive, when I'm not ridiculously exhausted and in a lot of pain. Good luck with everything and it would be interesting to hear if you get a diagnosis of your bruising.

Take care and am thinking of you.

Cheers

I get bruising from the steroids. When I go to the osteopath you can see her fingerprints as bruises along my legs! I am amazed where I find bruises, even on my hands. I only have to knock myself and I bruise.
