Dear Lyricssong,

I suspect that you have only recently been diagnosed, with vasculitis/Auto-immune disease, am I right? Thought so. To begin with your Doctors/Consultants will give you a large dose of drugs-quite possibly several-in an attempt to bring 'things' under control. After this has been achieved them drug levels, especially of Steroids, will be gradually reduced. Azathioprine is one, of several, drugs that can be used for this purpose. Long term use IS also indicated in some cases- I was on this drug for fifteen years myself, prior to a Kidney transplant.

I do understand your concerns, I think we all do, but, if as I suspect, this Is 'early days' then please do hang in there. Please do also, having just scared the s..t out of you, try not to worry too much.

Should I be wrong here, and you have been diagnosed for some time, then please speak to your Doctors as a matter of urgency (but this isn't the case, I'm sure).

In any event please do take care of yourself, very best wishes.
