I've now had my hyposensitivityvasculitis since October and the only treatment that has helped me is from my lovely chinese lady with acupuncture, cupping and herbs. No more swollen painful feet but still a few spots come up at night.

Happy New Year to you too! I hope your success with acupuncture treatment continues into 2016. My next appointment for the same is on Tuesday. I'm hoping it will allow me to reduce the prednisolone before I'm put on more drugs to help! Are you on anything?

hi good to hear your reducing your predisolne. I was on it for two years and gain two and a half stone, which l have lost since coming of the 10mg dose in july. I was however surprised to hear that this drug can thin your bones, which in my case has left me with bone problems. No one can tell u how much weight u will lose, and in what time factor. But even now l am losing weight which l have been told is an underlining sign of lung problems once you come off prednisolone. DONT let this scare you, no two people are the same, and u may also have been on a different doseage. That is why in many ways l am pleased for u, reducing the drug means less damage to ur bones plus ur improving. Great news to start the new year with.!!!

I too have been on it for nearly 2 years but have gained no weight at all, unlike most. In fact, weight loss is a constant problem. I think the steroids affect my stomach which puts me off eating much.
Are your lungs affected by the vasculitis do you think?
I had my treatment on Tuesday and feel good. Therefore continuing reduction. I also use homoeopathy which has allowed me to lose a polyp growing on my voice box! Had test today which revealed the news. I was originally booked to have it removed surgically. So relieved!
