It is national eye week this week. Did you know that some types of vasculitis are diagnosed by the eye and some types of vasculitis affect the eye and sight. This is a link to the website explaining the associations between Vasculitis and the eye. vasculitis.org.uk/living-wi...
National Eye Week is this week. : It is... - Vasculitis UK
National Eye Week is this week.
I have seen lots of articles in the press about eyes for National Eye Week. They only seem to talk about macular degeneration, glaucoma and cataracts. I was disappointed they did not mention things such as vasculitis and GCA more. Perhaps I missed those articles.
The Hospitals have been promoting regular eye checks for all adults and older adults. We do know cases of Vasculitis picked up in a routine eye test. So it is essential to have your eyes checked regularly. Especially as the advancing years creep on. Also anyone with a long term health condition should have regular check ups. John has a check up every year.

Dear Susan,
I have printed this article, to read later, but yes I certainly DID know Vasculitis can affect the eyes. It is one of my 'signs', I get a Red Eye, if my Vasculitis become more 'active'.
Thank you anyway, love to John please.
