Hi I have Iga Vasculitis and iv had problems with my eye for a few mo this. The optometrist seen me at home and said I have an ulcer and uveitis in tight eye.
I'm really scared and I have an appointment at eye clinic tomorrow morning.
I read on Google that steroid eye drops can have bad side effects such as burning etc.
I'm petrified.
Optometrist said I may need a steroid drop to help this heal.
Help as I'm so scared and going alone.

Hi, Please don't panic. Speak to the clinician in the morning and explain your worries. I have had several types of eye drops and got on ok. The only thing to think is about driving home, if you can arrange a taxi/ train/bus that might help. Good Luck. Jane
Don't worry about steroid eye drops they hardly sting at all.also I have found steroid eye ointment more effective, put in just before bedtime no sting works overnight
Thank you.Yeh it was a long day and in and out for tests, and a quick scan of eye. Lots of lights in eye and drops so eye became very painful bit they discovered I have the ulcer on front and an infection. So an antibiotic drop (ExOcin) until Monday then due back to clinic and she said probably give me steroid then.
My anxiety about it is horrendous.
But after a good we cry got it over with.
It's just that and everything else health wise.. π reaching out on here helps so much.
