I had my hair cut short in case MTX did that to me (so it would be less of a shock to friends) but so far, six weeks on, my hair has grown normally but even more curly than usual - looks like I've had a perm!

I meant to add (brain fog - another side effect!) that I lost a lot of hair a few years ago when a weird reaction to a bee sting gave me an all-over sunburn-like rash ... was it that that tipped my immune system, I wonder? ... but it grew back eventually and I was the only one who noticed, apart from my hairdresser.

Lost all my body hair and thinning head hair. After couple of months all started to grow again and now back to normal.

Dear Burrows1,

I have lost some hair-I am on a whole load of drugs-as well as skin growths (tags), warts, bruises (from minor knocks) however my hair looks good currently! I have always had a natural wave which, since I let it grow somewhat, now looks curly and 'cool' (like hey man!). If it, at any stage, starts to look a mess/state then I will get it cut...In the mean time-best left well alone, I think.

Sorry that your that loss is troubling you-I always feel that, despite all the problems/symptoms at least we are alive to experience them! One girl recently had awful 'tummy troubles' however, as I pointed out, she had to be alive to feel the 'tummy ache/constipation'. She replied thanking me, for my concern, and indicating that she did understand where I was coming from.

Finally I'll (hopefully) make you smile-did you hear about the constipated mathematician? He sat and 'worked it out', with a pencil!

Best wishes to you Burrows,

AndrewT

MTX is known for hair loss, not sure if it's both injections and oral tablets. I'm prone to shed hair when flaring. Myco, I hadn't noticed. How much are you taking and for how long, barrows?

Having said that I noticed my hair does not grow so fast lately.

Not what you're looking for?
