Thanks Susan. I have quite a lot on today that I can't really rearrange at short notice but I'll try and get along to this. It sounds interesting and given that we know the Rheumatology department are actively carrying out research into vasculitis, it should be worthwhile.

The post came to me through FB, Richard this morning, from a nurse, diagnosed with WG ( GPA ) who lives in Yorkshire. I helped this nurse with problems with her 'employers' when she was first diagnosed. Hope you manage to make it, it sounds very interesting :-)

I would also have liked to go. Pity it came through so late.

With a bit of goodwill from Suze I managed to make it :)

It was interesting but they are very focussed on Rheumatoid and Osteo Arthritis at Chapel Allerton. A lot of impressive work with ultrasound and MRI scans of joints and some cutting edge computer work researching the trouble people with joint problems have with walking.

There is research going on into Vasculitis, certainly into PMR and Temporal Arteritis / Giant Cell Arteritis plus as we know some studies into Rituximab, but not much else as far as I can tell.

But I've made some contacts and will certainly keep informed about what's going on at Chapel Allerton. I'll report back with anything that I think might be of interest to everyone here.
