Does anyone have symptoms wait to show up until you get into bed?

For the last 5 nights, I've gotten into bed and felt my legs, ankles and feet start swelling, throbbing, stinging and even some short bursts of nerve pains that would send my legs flailing into the air for a few seconds each time they hit.

I get this and just assumed that as my body was relaxing (well trying to anyway) that these symptoms then took over.

I think the same thing. I suspect it also may have something to do with being horizontal and the blood circulating better makes it worse given our condition?

The feelings I have vary with daily activity and are generally noticeable throughout the day as tingling, sensitivity and the occasional brief 'electric' shock. The latter can occur at any time of day in my legs and feet and often when I'm at rest. After a busy day's activity these feelings can be more intense, particularly my legs at night, and I have to get out of bed. I would then take pregabalin and/or tramadol depending on the severity.

i used to get this every night i always imagined it was to do with the pressure on the veins during the day. Since I have been on methotrexate, ive hardly had these feelings

Dear notsossweets,

I think that this is known as 'restless leg syndrome' and is NOT necessarily associated with vasculitis; sounds like a lot of our problems actually!

Interested to hear of any other 'strange' symptoms, that you may have.

Stay well, silly thing to say really!

My doctor at Johns Hopkins confirmed my leg symptoms are connected to vasculitis.

And, the Vasculitis Foundation posted this on FB:

Vasculitis can affect many different parts of your body.

If vasculitis affects your nerves, you may have numbness, tingling, and weakness in various parts of your body. You also may have a loss of feeling or strength in your hands and feet and shooting pains in your arms and legs.

If you experience any of these symptoms, make sure to speak with your doctor immediately.
