Does anyone else have permanent red spots?....

I get the odd rash on my legs and tummy. It stays a few days then goes, but I have notice the odd red spot stays. I now seem to have them just appearing on their own. They are all over my body not just where I get the rash. They look like tiny blood blisters. Any ideas?

Yes I also have permanent red spots all over. I didn't have them before becoming ill. No-one has explained what they are.

Thanks Susan. I am down at Addenbrookes next Friday, I will ask them about them.

Hi

Yes, I have these and they are often a sign that my form of vasculitis is active. They do have a name petechae (not spelt correctly) I think and another name when they are larger.

Mine will often turn into small ulcers and it is; I'm told, by the consultant a vasculitic rash caused by the rupture of the capillary walls. I have various places where they appear usually my arms but not exclusively.

Hope that sheds some light.

Yes it does thanks. I had one on the back of my leg that grew then opened up. I now have a scar there.

I had tiny red pimple like spots appear on my legs shortly before I was diagnosed. They itched like mad. I still have them 5 years on.

Dear CathT,

I used to have a rash/spots, years ago- long before I was diagnosed with vasculitis. So please do ask Addenbrooke's, they are brilliant- I have just had a kidney transplant (about six weeks ago). Please let me, us all, know how you get on, please.

Best wishes

I have the rash/spots on my face and I have to be careful when shaving. I get them in other places as well, but these come and go. I usually associate those with a flare. Whereas the facial one's are there, to a degree, all the time.
