Around Easter - after a year of loud T - I thought I was getting to grips with everything. My T has been spiking for 10 days now and I feel out of my depth again. Trying to stay as calm as possible. Aargh.

Hello doglover. You’ve been making supportive posts lately on this site so I recognise your name. I’m so sorry things have got hard again - maybe that’s the nature of the beast. I’m very fortunate that my T started when I was a teen so I thought it was a part of growing up - like getting taller or whatever. It’s got much louder over the years but unless I think about it I don’t hear it any more. I offer you my sympathy, for what it’s worth.

Aww. Thanks Rosie. Your words mean alot to me. It gives me hope that people who've had it for a long time - like you - manage it so well. It's odd. The way T can pull the rug from under your feet all of a sudden for no apparent reason. Oh well. Back to the drawing board.

Hello doglover1973 Like you I’m relatively a newcomer to. T . Had mine just over a year now . The longest and most challenging year of my life. I just try and carry on best I can knowing it’s quite bad . We are not alone , what else can I say . 🤔

Thanks Penny. How are the poodles? I went for a nice walk with my furry friend this morning and feel more positive now. Wet and windy here .. but it almost covers up the T. 🙂

The poodles are my life saver and they are bouncy and cheerful. Family came over went for a walk. Sometimes I find walking really fine, but occasionally if I’m in a high street the noise of people and traffic is too much for my head as I have done hyperacussis as well as t . It’s a balancing act!! But going out is generally better than staying indoors as the accoustics are better outside

Hi . I have a terribly spike at the moment , I have difficulty popping my ears.Tinnitus is loud and intrusive. I have pressure in the ears. So I think it is due to hot weather, making the eustacian pipes to get swollen up. It is very hot in Denmark at the moment. 🌞😎 Maybe it is the same issue for you. Hoping your tinnitus will settle down again. Hope there will be a cure for all of us. 🙏

Recently had 4 days in London partying like mad! Also eating rubbish and no restful sleep. Returned home and slept well, ate healthy and exercised - no alcohol whatsoever. Yesterday I had the most horrible spike in T: left ear, full of rumbling and pressure; right ear consistently changing pitches of noise; and to top it off, so to speak, a "central" Eeeeeeeeeee endlessly droning away. No of it makes sense to me and that is why I am writing this to say that I think that is the bottom line with the T. I wish you all the best and hope you find the calm soon.

Sorry, I meant to say that during the London trip, nothing excessive occurred with the T. But after a week of doing all the supposedly 'good stuff' as mentioned, I now have the most awful T.... And still have it. I hope that clarifies matters a little - my head is spinning!

Hi there. I wonder if it's a delayed reaction to your trip to London .. I'm not quite sure how T. works except that it can be a mystery - as you say. Anyhow I hope it all settles for you very soon. It sounds rather intrusive!

I hope your spike passes soon. It happens, they come and go, sooner or later. Hold tight, stay strong
