Dear community,

WHO AM I?

I am 42 years old male living in central eastern Europe. I apologize for my English but I am not native speaker. I found this website 3 days ago and at beginning I hesitated to join in as I saw many of your suffering from T for many years and I read some stories, which induced even more depression and hopelessness in me. Today I decided to join in write my story and share my knowledge with you as well as seeking some help and answers on my journey to get rid of T.

HOW IT BEGAN ?

I am suffering from T from March 2019. Nobody tells me for sure but most of the doctors anticipate my T was result of taking Ciprofloxacine antibiotics for 3 weeks. I did not play in any band, did not attend loud places, did not use headphones daily for longer period, I was not having stressful life or work. Some of them think it may be referred to my cervical spine issues but I doubt so. It is true that my T intensity varies with movement of my head but who knows. I am working in healthcare (although I am not MD) so I had "luck" to pass all kind of tests and examination including MRI within 2 weeks. Results = as usually nothing objective found. I made THI score and it is 52 for me currently. Based on measurement I have 30 dB 8000 Hz sound.

WHAT I TRIED ?

I wanted to try as much as possible within first 6 months as I was told after that I will just have to habituate to this condition and get used to it. That future vision scared me a lot so I focused all my energy and free time to get rid of T. Unfortunately I was not successful so far.

1. 14 days Standard treatment with corticoid infusions + medicines afterwards

2. Accupuncture sessions - ear and whole body (still ongoing but no effect so far

3. Homeopathy - 4 different treating medicines so far

4. Craniosacral therapy - no help after 6 session so far

5. Physiotherapy a regular trainings - no effect so far

6. Meditations - the only at least temporary decrease of T so far

7. Different vits like Ginkho 120 mg, Vit D 2000UA daily, Calming herbs ( I do not want to take antidepressants...yet :)), High doses of Vit C infusions - no effect

8. Various chinese herbs and mushrooms unfortunately with no effect

WHAT I PLAN TO DO ?

1. I started long term process of cleaning my body with herbs - so far no effect but sticking to it

as my herbalist says : " In clean body there is no reason for T"

2. Go on with homeopathy attempts

3. Continue with craniosacral therapy

4. Try to sign in for yoga and advanced meditations courses

5. What this forum and learn from collective knowledge here.

6. Try some longer term accupressure exercises from youtube

Some of people around me tells me I am pushing very hard to solve this issue and they advice to simply stop doing anything and forget about it - easy to say for them, harder to do for me. I will exploit every possible option at least during first 6 months then I will stop, evaluate the situation and try to find some long term way to live with T - TRT or any other habituation, neuroplasticity or may be some miraculous device.

Do you have any newbie advices for me as a "starting T sufferer" ?

Do you know peoples who completely cured from this condition ?

Anyone here having T from Cyprofloxacine or other antibiotics ?

Thank you for reading all this and any relevant feedback. I truly hope there will be once cure for all of us and we start to hear silence again

Roman

Where can I find some related to habituation process or is it just like docs say “ you have to use to live with that” advice ?

Yes you have to live with T !!! What can doctor do ??when they only have Tinnitus 😂.......Don’t worry you will habituate some day because your new to Tinnitus it takes time to settle down .....15% to 20% of the world population suffer from Tinnitus your not alone here dear , if it’s troubling you soo much try using external sounds .

Well I respect your opinion but it seems to be a bit harsh and skeptical. I think there is cure out there - not for all not universal but there is. There are people out there who got rid of T via herbs, via homeopathy, via suplements, via medications, craniosacral therapy, accupunctrure, some devices like magnetotherapy or lasers etc. It will not work for all as the cause of T differs from person to person but there is a cure from this condition. I agree that habituation is also one of the way to go with chronic T but it really seems quite pesimistically to just say the common phrase of all GPs and MDs "Yes you have to live with T !!!". I will do my best to try all relevant and affordable options and if it works fully or just partially then share it with community. Anyone can decide how to cope with T and what pathway he/she chooses.

Yes TRT is an valid option. I want to go this way once I consider my condition as chronic. TRT is long term programme 12 months+ I think but it worked for many. I know one guy in opur country personally who used it successfully and now is T free for more than 3 years (brain simply ignores it) after 5 years of having T.

I have a hissing sound in my left ear which is chronic.it reacts to every sound.whereas the T in my right ear is hardly noticeable.
