Plugged ear worse in shops

Hey, I’ve got a slight plugged ear but when I go to a supermarket or similar it gets so much worse?

Why is that??

Possible ETD? I've been having that issue last 2 months or so with ears popping in different locations (sometimes from room to room). Getting much better now, ENT said it could take a few months for the eustachian tubes to heal. Definitely been seeing improvement with time. About a month ago there were 1 or 2 stores in particular near me that I couldn't go into because my ears would go nuts in them (ETD can result in pressure not equalizing properly inside your ear to outside). Just a guess that you might be experiencing the same thing.

Can ETD be an issue even tho my ears freely pop??

Unsure, just been been experiencing a similar issue so throwing it out there as a possibility..

When I say ears I mean ear as only have one working ear!
