Hello Dr s is prescribing me armour . i dont know where i can get it from but his secretary who never answers the phone is going to call me and explain.

the only medication that has worked for me is 30 citalopram and 1 mg of lorazepan and 25 mg of thryroxine. When i was in that medication my depression was ok my joint muscle where fine and i did not have anxiety . i feel happy and social

He has not explain how am i supposed to do this transiction and how long i should expect any changes if it works,. He does not seem to be sure he is just trying in out. he is supposed to be the best in the country but i feel so lost. i dont know what med is going to make me feel better.

How do i do this transiction and how long shall i expect to notcioe some improvement.

i hardly have any motivation to come to work and go home and cry.

i know a lot of people say no to go on antidepressants by they worked for me and twice i have giving then up and i have been feeling the same. they tried amytriptilne i though i was going to jump out of the window and valium and i will make me feel even tired and breatless.so many medication and i dont know what do do i am torn between

1-coming back to what it has worked

2-or try the armour without anything

3- can i not have both . dr s told me if you are in the right thryoid med you should be able to wean off antidepressants whithout sufferint so much.

You have a decision to make and if you consult someone you are asking for their advice.

No-one can predict how a particular thyroid medication will work or its effect on a person. It is trial and error.

Personally, I would give Armour a go and this is a link which may be helpful.

The fact that Armour contains the active hormone T3 it may do the work of the anti-d's.

You have to give any thyroid medication a chance over a few months. It is not instant result.

I am sorry you are worried and hope whatever decision you take makes you feel better.

Regarding getting hold of desiccated thyroid, have a look here:

If you were getting an NHS prescription, then any pharmacy with a co-operating attitude should be able to get hold of it quite easily.
