What is CT3M? And how long after NDT until calcium supplements?

Hello, folks. I've just read something about CT3M and am wondering what it means? Also, I take my Thiroyd-S at 7 a.m., but then take a calcium supplement at around 9-10 am. Am I boobing again?

Grateful for advice please?

It is a whole plan for taking T3 to work better with bodily rhythms, etc. Created by a patient Paul Robinson, web site somewhere!

I think you should wait for four hours before taking calcium or iron, Schenks. T4 binds with the calcium and becomes unusable for the body.

Thanks, Greygoose. Is that 4 hours either side? I'm guessing it is, which is going to make deciding when to take the second and third doses of NDT a bit of a bugger, but I'll have a go - thanks for your help.

Here is a link to Paul's website and to CT3M in particular:

I adopted this approach myself last summer and it has made an enormous difference to me :) xx

Good Lord!! This is great - it'll keep me occupied for DAYS! thanks so much for the info, Clare - you have been more than helpful. You are the person who gave me the information that helped me to stop my painful chest, and heart flutters - did I tell you? do you know how important that was to me? Might even have saved me from serious, serious illness - this is life-saving stuff that goes on on this site. Saying you have my gratitude doesn't even come near.

Thank you Schenks - so glad you are feeling a bit better in the heart department :) Hope the CT3M helps you - it really has made a massive difference to me. There is also a STTM facebook group called T3 only, which is very helpful if you have specific questions about timing and dosage - Paul Robinson is often on there - it's not just for patients on T3 only but also NDT and doing CT3M. If you are any where near Bristol, then Paul is hoping to come to our next Bristol support group, if you are interested? xxx
