Neck scan showed small thyroid but GP reduced thyroxine?

Recent blood tests made my GP reduced thyroxine from 100 to 75. Had ultra sound scan of neck and radiologist was concerned that thyroid very small. I am tired, get breathless and have night sweats.

I have had underactive thyroid for twenty years.

Have you got any lab results?

It does sound odd.

Can you post your results with ranges for folks to help answer?

From folks' posts a lot of docs seem to be lowering meds despite symptoms, I wonder if there is a general trend and why. You could go straight back and say your symptoms do not indicate a decrease - can you see another GP? J

You can get hold of your results - they are part of your records. Have a look here:

Well am seeing GP again next week so will ask him. The one I used to have before I moved always gave me details. But forgot to ask here.
