Ferritin Results

I had a print out of all my blood tests since I was diagnosed with sub-clinical Hypothyroid, 19 months ago, and my Ferritin then was 18 and at the same time my Folate was 3.1 but now it is 7.2. My VIT B12 a couple of months ago was 800.

I had my Free T3 test a month ago and it was 4.2 which my Dr said was normal. No ranges.

Thank you.

Hi.

Your ferritin was very low. Have you had it tested since? It would be a good idea if you haven't. Your folate is still a little low. Are you taking B12 supplements? If so, it is normal for your B12 to be quite high. It is important to keep taking the B12 supplements but you might want to add folic acid if you aren't already taking it. If you take folic acid you should also take B12.

Without reference ranges it is a little difficult to tell where your T3 is, but it looks to be towards the bottom of the range going by the ranges I've seen.

I'm not really sure what your question is, but I hope I have been able to help a little.

Hi, Carolyn,

I have not had my Ferritin tested since 2011. I have never taken supplements for my Vit B12. When I had my Vit B12 tested 2011 it was 572 and now it is 800. Is it normal for it to go up without taking supplements?

I feel exhausted most of the time, and don't feel right until late afternoon!

Thank you for your help

Lucky 23, tiredness and not right until late afternoon, this could be your adrenals?
