No got hypothriodiusm my test is in the range

well I did,

very weird too I remember, especially eyes winking at folks I did NOT want to wink at.

For me, I think I was a bit hyper before my PT op, things have calmed down now and Vitamin D3 helps me be more 'normal' (whatever that is). more chilled anyway.

Seriously muscle spazms have eased.... you know when you're just sitting there and something jerks - like your leg, arm or shoulder - you pretend to cough and change position like you meant it? well I thought I imagined it to start (as we do).

As far as I've read and experienced (this is not a factual account, just me) it's a calcium thing and as VitD controls calcium then it's controllable - that's how I see it anyway (and no-one has ever told me if they took my parathyroid glands out with my PT op - so I just don't know) but since learnt Vit d needs magnesium, calcium and Vit K too.......apparently. J :D x

Hi There are other reases but it is quite commonly due to calcium above range. it must always be in range as an electrolyte. If on D make sure you have it retested (both) as my calcium suddenly soared and although my D very low ,I had to reduce and then stop the vit D as it was then dangerous. If calcium over range ( it can suddenly change) ,then you need 3 tests done together AM, Calicum , vit D ( it may just be high for you but low really) and parathyroid( PTH If PTH high and others odd then you need a nuclear scan and ultra sound for the PTH and thyroid. I hope that helps.

Low magnesium is well known to cause twitches and also palpitations. It is so common that you should try to keep the levels up so it can be ruled out when if ever these symptoms arise.
