This may be Candida die off as I started on supplements for that over a week ago...BUT I started on N Thyroid on Monday and felt TERRIBLE on Tues (I've been on NAX for 2 months with good results)......

Jittery / panic attacky / terrible stomach yesterday (Thurs)...

This of course could be Candida die off who knows and I'll stop ALL supps until Monday.

I also take a multi B complex and I know the possible side effects Theres not enough B vits in NT to though surely?

Still feel terrible Fri morn and have to go to London soon for a stressy work day.

Great.

Given the timing of the bad reaction, I think the spotlight falls firmly on the Nutri Thyroid.

Nutri Thyroid contains glandulars listed on the ingredients as "bovine source thyroid concentrate".

The thyroid hormone is suposed to have been removed, but who knows how good this process is? There was a study last year showing that many over the counter thyroid supplements of this sort often do contain active thyroid hormones and I've heard (second hand) that Dr P says it is known to affect thyroid function tests.

Or maybe one of the fillers doesn't agree with you.

Hope you feel better soon.

What dose did you start with? Maybe it was too much, too soon?

Only one a day!!!!

Maybe thats too much. I started on a half tablet, taken in two quarters. I still felt a tiny bit wired, but I am very sensitive to meds.

Am also...very.....I'll start again on Monday... Are you getting benefit? Did you have similar symptoms to me?? x

I only started this week too, so it's early days. (My doc says my thyroid is fine, I disagree...I'm housebound, lost my eyebrows, hair thinning, patchy, lot of hypothyroids in family) I did the Genova 24hr urine thyroid test, & both my T3 & T4 are low in range, so I'm starting with this to work my way towards low dose NDT.

I do feel a little different - my sleep is a little bit better, having been awake til 6am most nights for 2 years, & I am a tiny bit more active. I tried going up to a whole tablet taken in two halves yesterday, but the 'wired' feeling increased, so I'm sticking to three quarters of a tablet (spread out) for another week, I think. It's tempting to up doses too soon - but I'm so debilitated I just have to try & be patient!

I have had a bit of digestive trouble, but as I have always had trouble with a lot of foods its hard to know if it's just me or the tablet!

I forgot to say I have also had racing thoughts with the 'wired' feeling. A bit like when you can't get a song out of your head & it's on a fast repeat. I think it's probably a step before the panicky stage... :/
