Do not miss that mouth ulcers can be associated with low vitamin B12. And that is all too common in people who are hypothyroid.
I have a cold at least once every two weeks and throat infections, coughs and sore throats most of the time. I pick up everything. Was diagnosed Graves in 2008, supressed for 4 years and now on 150mcg levothyroxine post total thyroidectomy 4 months and have only just found out about the impact of T3. I'm looking into a heap of new tests that I've never ever had done and should of - T3, reverse T3, ferratin, serum iron, adrenal stress test and vit D. I am gluten free which also makes a huge difference to me. I do seem to have a reaction two days post eating gluten. Hope that helps. J x
Have you had your calcium levels checked, I had op in 1992 and my parathyroid gland was damaged it took 8 years for me to be put onto alfacalcidol,up until that point I was run down and caught colds easily since then my immune system has been great (touch wood) and i tend to get one cold a year. I am also on 150mg levothyroxine, the parathyroid gland is often damaged during the thyroidectomy! Have you had tingling in your fingers and toes bit like very strong pins and needles also can be in lips?
It is the same in my case, I have cold every other day. One day I am fine the next I have cold the day after I feel ok next I have cold and so on.
