It may be that you have an allergy to binders/fillers. If you were having too much thyroxine these are some of the symptoms:

If it is an allergy, maybe a trial of an anti-histamine would be o.k. Check with your chemist. If it goes away tell your GP.

Your anti-histamine should have worked if it was an allergy but I don't think you are taking too much thyroxine and Dr S always increases your dose till your symptoms go and the symptoms would primarily be racing heart and palpitations and you would feel quite overactive. GP's do not know as much as Dr S. If eventually your increasing doses are not doing anything I think he would probably advise a change to another kind of thyroid hormone.

Are you using a sensitive non-bio washing powder or a non-perfumed soap for your skin as some products can make your skin itchy

I know how uncomfortable it can be as I have some patches of itchy eczema.

Your GP could give you a cream to reduce the itchiness/inflammation.

I hope you feel better soon.
