Is 1000mcg's of B12 a day too much?

I know that we don't absorb it all as supplements but once we start taking it. How long should we continue? Seems like a lot to me. So I thought I would just ask what others are doing.

Thanks

there's no upper limit on B12. i sometimes take 5 x 1000mcg of sublingual B12. if your body doesn't need the extra it just gets pee'd out.

i also self inject 1mg of B12 when i need it, usually weekly!

p.s B12 is the solution to cyanide poisoning. it's give as a 10,000mg intravenous transfusion. then your pee would be red lol.

Thank you all for your responses . Very helpful.
