Recent blood results would be helpful otherwise it is difficult to comment.
A blood test doesn’t tell you if you feel well! Haven’t been able to get one since Covid.
So far no one’s answered my question yet!
No one can answer your question. It depends on blood results as well as symptoms. Many of the symptoms of over and under medication are identical and it is only by looking at blood results and medication as well that we can offer an opinion.
For example lack of energy can be undermedicated or overmedicated.
Hey Kandahar, I see that 6 months ago you were on 25 mcg t3 and your t3 level was low in range.
This is a tricky question, I am currently dropping levo and moving towards t3 mostly (now on 100 t4 and 25 t3). My endo said that he has a patient on 120 mcg t3 daily, others at 30-40 mcg t3 along with 50-75 levo. There are people on here taking 25 mcg t3 only and 75 mcg only, but seen higher doses too. The question is, since you have been increasing t3, have you felt any symptom relief?
I don't believe in blood tests as they never fully reflect how I feel, but they do help knowing which direction you go (once I took too much t3 and blood tests have shown massive overmedication).
Yes, mostly good but not full of energy all the time. Perhaps it’s that since I ceased to feel well more than 10 year ago and couldn’t nor wanted to rush around the way I used to, my body has got lazy. And the time has gone on and suddenly I’m 75!
Maybe, it is hard to say, but I am glad to hear you had some improvement it is all an experiment, sadly, on our own bodies, you can always either increase or decrease t3 by a small amount to see if it makes difference, but you will only know what feels right. I personally feel every increase or decrease of even 2.5 t3, but I still take levo so it might be different. Did you feel better when you dropped levo completely?
Yes. But have found need to keep increasing t3. Now on 80mcg but don’t think I’ve got it sorted completely. Blood test on Monday so could be interesting!
I change my t3 dose and/or self inject b12 (I also have PerniciousAnaemia) based on how I feel. I've been t3 only for a number of years now feel fairly good for the most part. I doubt i will ever feel great. Unfortunately no weight loss either.
