After a few attempts at different Levothyroxine products, I finally found one that works for me. Now the UK has run out of supply and the manufacturer won't be making more of the drug until at least July. I find this absurd. Luckily I have access to the American medical system and will be getting a supply shortly, paying out of pocket for it as well. However, I am concerned that June, which turned into July, will stretch even further.
Has anyone run into this problem? When your drugs just disappear? Is there anything we can do about this?
Thanks,
Amy

Which levothyroxine product are you referring to? I wasn't aware that any of the UK manufactured ones were available in America. Or have you been fortunate enough to get prescribed with a US brand?
I have had problems sticking with the same UK 'brand' on and off over the years, and have just had to settle for a different one too. This time I was told it was a supplier issue, rather than a manufacturing issue. But I never know who or what to believe!
