Hi, just picked up drugs from pharmacy with a bottle of Teva inside. Already have an agreement that I will not be given Teva, pointed out that I have been having Morningside. The girl said ok and phoned their supplier and was told they don’t have any and can’t get any Teva, didn’t know when they could. She said I can have a script to take to Boots or Tesco pharmacy. Has anyone else had problems? And would Boots really have any?
Keep smiling

I picked up my repeat prescription this week and it contained T4 and T3 by Teva, which I never have.I returned it to the counter and asked for my usual brands....Actavis T4 which I've used for years and Morningside which seems to have replaced Mercury Pharma which I prefer.
I sat and waited while there was a shelf search and eventually was issued with Actavis and Morningside!!........expiry dates into 2020.
What is going on ? ......I had to ask yet again for preferences to be noted on screen.
I would be interested though if anyone is being prescribed MP Liothyronine at the moment? I stated that it's not good to keep changing brands which was just replied to with a nod !!
I had issues with taking Teva some years ago and will refuse to be pushed into using it now. It is wrong that Teva is the only thing available and I would advise you to approach another pharmacy who will order Morningside for you.
Is our welfare really of so little value to these people ?
Unfortunately I think the answer to your question is yes. There always seems to be fun and games going on with the manufacturers of T3. I don't understand how it can be available one month and disappear the next. My prescriptions go through automatically to my local chemist from my GP and they know what my preference is but they assured me that, although they tried hard, Morningside could not be found. The uncertainty I face each month with this product really wears me down and on top of that the pharmacist now seems to think it's his business to remind me of the high cost of the product!
Yes,I agree. It's bad enough having to cope with the health problem without bearing the responsibility of continually searching for a source of medication to help ourselves.
I am prescribed MP liothyronine which is the only brand I can cope with. Boots have always been able to get it for me, but prior to going there I went to the Well chain of chemists who eventually refused to dispense it because Morningside was cheaper. So, maybe swap chemists?
