In the mood to fight in a boxing ring...

I really don't feel myself today, I feel stressed, angry and not really feeling sociable, this poor thyroid gets the blame for everything!!I increased my dose of levo to 75mcg maybe 3ish weeks ago now, and felt this weekend slightly better, but today i feel agitated angry, stressed, i don't feel like me! Is there anything a thyroid doesn't change? Just wondering if anyone can relate to this.

Many Thanks

Sarah x

Sarah I wonder if your GP would consider adding some T3. Even Dr Toft says that 10mcg T3 can be added. I think you are still undermedicated and

GP should increase your dose every 4 to 6 weekuntil symptoms go.

thanks shaws i am getting there i think, at least this gp is willing too up my dose, got to go for a blood test again in a week and then possibly up my dose again. this thyroid business is a minefield and its getting to me x

Maybe things are just 'kicking in?' just my thoughts & I'm in the red corner lol! x

Being agitated, angry and stressed are more typical with being over medicated, it may take a bit longer for the dosage to level out. 6 -8 weeks is usually the norm to allow it, if you get tested too soon and are showing as over before your body has had time to adjust to the higher dose, there is more chance that a GP will reduce it again, which is not good in the long term. Give it a bit more time.

I can't answer the question but I do know exactly what you mean - I use the following breathing exercise which I think I picked up from a Yoga class some years ago and best of all I can do this anywhere (especially the local supermarket ;-) ) breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth, keep doing this for a few minutes and if you are put with someone ask them for a hug - it works wonders
