I was called into my Doctors after a blood test. It said my Thyroid functio was so low it was bordering on...and I can't remember the word..think it started with Eu (I could see it on the screen).Does

I am 54 yrs old and although I have been diagnosed about 7 years, my paternal grandmother had the same disorder.

er... Euthyroid is 'normal'?

Sounds like it's at the bottom of the normal range and it might be worth increasing the dose if you are still symptomatic.

Thanks..have been on 125mg Thyroxine for many years now and recently have had more problems with my thyroid than ever.

I get the usual blood tests every 3 months and for the first time I had been called in to see the Doctor rather than just the nurse as usual.

Well, we shall see how it goes.

It's a cruel disease....and so misunderstood by so many people.

Apparently the blood test results showed a reading of 7.5 and it should have been 0.2/0.3

So...keep taking the tablets and try and get it down!
