Hi everyone I have hypothyroidism been diagnosed 30 years now so know my illness pretty well. I am taking 75mg levothyroxine and have been on this dose for several years with no problems however, many hypothyroidism symptoms have been very gradually getting worse over last year or more, now I am struggling daily and getting worse but gp says tsh blood tests are within normal range (even though my levels are steadily rising over last 3 tests) I believe my dosage needs to be raised but how to convince gp I really don't feel well despite normal bloods. Would appreciate any advice please 😊

Hi GeorginaTC, welcome to the forum. :)

Do you get print-outs of your blood test results each time? You're legally entitled to have one..You need to know exactly what was tested and exactly what the results were. Just saying your results were 'in-range' tells you nothing, and it's not the same as optimal. And 'normal' is the most meaningless word in the English language! There's no such thing because everyone is different.

So, ask at reception for a print out of your last few blood test results, then post results and ranges - very important to give ranges! - on here and let's have a look. There are so many possibilities of what could be going wrong but we can't know without the numbers. :)
