Dear Forum Members,
Please advise if anyone knows of any doctors or hospitals that prescribe and work with T3 in Hong Kong.
I am looking for prescription only doctors or hospitals.. I am not looking to buy T3 without a prescription.
many thanks

hi LynLyn,
Sorry you haven’t had a reply yet, hopefully my message will help bump it up the message board.
I had a look through helvella fabulous vade mecum documents with all the collected knowledge he has and didn’t find anything listed for Hong Kong or indeed China as nearest neighbour, there are suppliers in Vietnam. In his famous people with thyroid condition’s there is an actress with Graves.
Google AI gave me links to Hong Kong Medical Journal with papers about Levo and Lio being used in various scenarios, you could look for the specialists names on those papers and see if they take appointments.
I put endocrinology into Google maps and got about 5 hits, Gleneagles, university hospital, Hong Kong Sanitorium has good reviews and a nice website.
Let us know how you get on 🤗
Dear Regenallotment
Wow! Thank you for taking the time to discover all of this. I didn’t think to use Google AI. I will be following up your very good advice!
Is the document from Helvella available to view? helvella
It’s would be such an amazing opportunity to work in Hong Kong and I’d hate to miss out on it due to T3.
Many thanks
I agree,
I wonder though, if it’s a fixed term contract eg 1 year, you might be able to get a longer prescription from the UK? There must be ex pat pages /forums.
Gov.uk advises contacting the embassy to find out if there are any restrictions on your meds. I’ve crawled all over the HK Embassy on London website and couldn’t find anything.
if you click into helvella ’s bio the Dropbox links to his awesome resources and blog are all there.
Many thanks for all of this.
I believe prescriptions written in the uk can be written for 3 months and most countries accept 3 months of medication with a prescription. I will try and get in touch with the private doctor I saw many years ago and see if he can help. I’ll get in touch with the embassy too.
Thank you for taking the time to help me.
Your advice has been invaluable.
