accidentally took 2 thyroid pills

I’m on 100mcg NDT T4/25mcg T3.

I think I took two pills last night and then one this morning as usual but feel WEIRD.

Will I be okay? Feel like I’ve overdosed on caffeine!

I’ve done this before and been fine but it’s hugely unpleasant.

So many of us have inadvertently doubled up on occasion, so please don’t worry unduly. Rest as much as you can and drink plenty of water. Don’t resume taking your usual daily dose until adverse symptoms have passed.

It will almost always be fine.

Humans have huge tolerance to a single overdose, especially of levothyroxine.

I'm not sure what you are taking - 100mcg would be a levothyroxine dose, then you mention NDT, followed by 25mcg T3. T3 would likely be more noticeable.

Can you do something to avoid repeating this? Lots use some sort of dosing container. Or in some other way physically separate today's or tomorrow's dose from their main store of tablets.

Not what you're looking for?
