Accidentally took pill twice

I take 175mg of synthroid. I took one 175mg at 6:30am and accidentally took 175mg and 9:00pm will I be okay? I have anxiety so I'm just worried

You'll be fine. Someone else ll be along in a bit to advise about what to do about your next dose.

I did that with my Thyroid S ... I blame thyroid fog. I was ok and I took my normal dose the next day. You might feel a little jittery because of it, hopefully someone who has done the same will be along to advise.

Thyroid medication has a long half life and takes a long time to build up in your system. With others who've done similar, I've seen others advise that you can skip your next dose to make up for it and be ok. I might only take a half dose today to help average it out.

Levothyroxine is one of the safest medicines there is in terms of taking an overdose.

A single occasion and you might well not even notice it.

I keep forgetting that Synthroid is a brand of Levothyroxine not T3 or desiccated thyroid!

Agree with others, taking an extra by mistake is nothing to worry about, unless you do it often!

Synthroid marketing department strikes again.

Other than being supported by a marketing and advertising budget the size of a reasonable country's whole economy, Synthroid is just another levothyroxine tablet.

In case that sounds like an exaggeration, AbbVie spent $487 million in 2018 on marketing. (Though mostly on Humira.)
